Doppler - Lower Limb Venous (Both Limbs) is a non-invasive ultrasound test used to assess the veins in both legs, primarily to check for blood clots, valve incompetence, or venous insufficiency.
What it checks:
Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) - blood clots in deep veins
Venous insufficiency/varicose veins - poor valve function causing blood pooling
Vein compression or obstruction
Post-DVT recovery or clot monitoring
Blood flow direction and reflux in veins
Why it’s done:
Leg swelling, pain, or tenderness
Varicose veins or heavy/tired legs
Sudden redness or warmth in legs
Non-healing ulcers near ankles
Long travel, surgery, pregnancy, or prolonged bed rest (risk of DVT)
Follow-up after vein surgery or clot treatment
