Doppler - Lower Limb Arterial (Single Limb) is a non-invasive vascular ultrasound test used to evaluate the arteries of one leg. It helps assess blood flow, detect narrowing (stenosis) or blockage (occlusion), and is crucial for diagnosing Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD).
What it shows:
Blood flow in major leg arteries (femoral, popliteal, tibial arteries)
Plaque build-up or arterial blockage
Reduced circulation (Peripheral Arterial Disease - PAD)
Aneurysms or abnormal vessel structure
Post-surgery or stent evaluation (if applicable)
Why it’s done:
Leg pain while walking or at rest
Cold feet, numbness, or discoloration
Non-healing wounds or ulcers on the foot
Suspected peripheral artery disease (PAD)
Diabetes, smoking, high cholesterol or hypertension patients
